Oase HeatUp 50 watt Aquarium Heater
Have a look at this video on how Oase HeatUp heaters can be added internally to their BioMaster filters.
Tropical Fish typically need water temperatures of 26 degrees (Celsius) or higher; in order to reach and maintain these temperatures, a water heater is necessary – and for the most part the stability of water temperature depends on the quality of your heater. Submersible heaters like this one here do just as stated, they are 100% submerged within the aquarium and must stay submerged when in operation to avoid any damage to the heating element. Temperature shock is also a consideration you should have when handling and working with glass heaters as sudden emersion of a hot heater in cold water or vice versa can result in glass breakage and possible injury.
Make sure you read the instructions for your heater and that you are familiar with the controls and readings given. Oase Aquarium heaters are designed AND manufactured in Germany and are thermostat controlled to prevent overheating. External thermostats can also be used to ensure that overheating does not occur as fish can be effectively cooked at 30 degrees.
The HeatUp 50 works well as a stand-alone heater but can also be retrofitted into the BioPlus 50 Internal Filter (shown pic 2)
